This is a book for grievers looking to nestle against what ‘established’ losses can look like. Tova’s been a widow for a long time, and her son has been deceased even longer. This is a gentle way to look at someone’s years after major loss. This was one of my favorite reads of 2024 and the octopus point of view chapters are just wonderful—I looked forward to those throughout the book.
